Joan’s GF Great Bakes Announces Nationwide Ground Shipping Beginning Today! 8/13/10
I had to put a hold on publishing my reviews of Joan’s Products while they worked out the expansion of their ground shipping options because of the backlash of people who wanted to order these delicious breads after reading about them, but the shipping for much of the country was just prohibitive for most of us.
I didn’t stop eating them during this waiting period, though, so there are more reviews coming – pizza, cornbread, cookies – all outrageous! And of course the Italian Bread and Joan’s Bialys that I have already reviewed. Next- Take a look at these unbelievable English Muffins!
From Joan’s:
“After months of behind the scenes work, Joan’s is so excited to be able to make these 2 announcements!
1) We are now able to ship our products nationwide, via GROUND Service.
All of our customers in the West, Mid-West and Texas – who have had to pay for overnight or 3 day air, can now safely purchase Joan’s using GROUND service!!!
This is a HUGE upgrade for us, and we can’t wait to begin!!
2) We are also upgrading and relaunching our website!! Immediately you will notice a new look and feel to the site. It is much more user friendly and has several features that you would expect to find on a premier site.”
I’m happy to help spread the word on this great news! If Joan’s was hiring for an “Ambassador” position, I’d take it!
i was just on the website and wanted to order $25.00 worth of products but my shipping was $28.75 – and if i wanted them overnight it would be a whopping $139.90. i’m not sure if i am doing something wrong or is it still cost prohibitive to get decent bread in no. california?
I did the same thing to order $26 of products and my shipping was $29.14. I’m not sure if the website is completely updated or not but $55.14 for 4 things of gluten free product is a bit too much! Any chance the products may be distributed to stores in Colorado any time soon? I want to be able to try the products and not buy a ton!
Hi,
This is Joan’s other son, Howard.
Please give Joan a call. There are some bugs in the new site and they are being worked out. Hopefully over the weekend.
Or feel free to e-mail her at gfgreatbakes@yahoo.com

Joan’s GF Great Bakes
Hi again,
Just spoke to Joan. The new shipping was to make it possible to get to the west coast without the overnight air charges.
There is still the cooler box and ice to contend with as these are frozen products. The ice and cooler alone cost over 11 dollars. The rest of the charge is the fedex ground actual charge. Joan has no markup or handling fee.
Joan suggested that you order with a few friends or have support groups make large orders together to defray the costs.
The best thing to do would be to have stores that you frequent call Joan.
Joan believes that once you try her products, you will agree they are worth it. The smile on your child’s face when they bite into one of Joan’s tastes like the real thing products will make it all worth while.
If you have any further questions, please call Joan or Ken at 516-804-5600 or gfgreatbakes@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Howard

Kim,
Thanks. Please have your friend contact Joan or Ken. That is the best way.
Take care,
Howard
