Here’s the PF Chang’s Gluten Free Menu

PF Chang’s newest gluten free menu came out in March, 2010 with double the gluten free items, and choices in each category: appetizers, salads, soups, main dishes, and dessert. In August 2010, they will introduce another gluten free dessert choice-Triple Chocolate Mousse mini-dessert.
They made us one of the dishes on the new menu tonight – Mongolian Beef as well as our standard favorite of theirs – Philip’s Better Lemon Chicken. Very excellent! Honestly, there is no difference in taste from the regular version.
We were told that since they changed their marinade on Beef and Pork dishes, many more of them are gluten free now, but you still have to alert them to the fact that you are ordering the dish from the gluten free menu. Their flour-dusted items, such as the Mongolian Beef, Chang’s Spicy Chicken, and the Lemon Chicken are always dusted in cornstarch, so the marinade was the problem.
If you ever eat there and order a gluten free dish that is not delivered to you on a round plate – be suspicious and send it back! Their gluten free dishes are always delivered on a round plate, different from the rectangular plates and bowls that everything else comes in. This Mongolian Beef may look like the old version, but look carefully, it’s on the round plate – the signature gluten free delivery.
The new items, in addition to are GF Beef with Broccoli, GF Beef a La Sichuan, GF Pepper Steak, GF Mongolian Beef. They also have GF Singapore Street Noodles (Shrimp, chicken & rice noodles) and Chang’s Fried Rice in Beef, Chicken or Pork.
The Flourless Chocolate Dome is still the only GF dessert. I’m waiting for the GF Fortune cookies!

I have ordered from PF Changs GF menu several times and been quite happy, but for Mother’s Day we ate there and some how I was accidentally given food with gluten. Needless to say I have spent more than 24 hours being quite miserable. I only ordered from the GF menu so it had to happen back in the kitchen.
The PF Chang’s we go to here in the Los Angeles (one in Burbank and the one in Sherman Oaks), will make anything on the menu gluten free! I didn’t even know they had a special menu because the first time we went and I asked for a gluten free menu they told me, “We can make almost everything on the menu Gluten Free’ If there is an exception they tell you when you order but I have never ordered anything that they said wasn’t possible.
I have never gotten sick from eating there and I am one of those who reacts to gluten if I just stand next to wheat flour. I love PF Chang’s so much we had my 55th birthday party there.

I eat at PF Chang’s every chance I get. I wish we had one in Bellingham! It was my favorite restaurant before I went GF, and now I appreciate it even more. They even serve GF menu on different plates to help ensure no mix-ups.

Luv PF Changs and spicy chicken. BUT, be careful of the lettuce wraps. I have been sick last 3 time I had them; ie terrible gastric distress and last week a rash.Lan. MI All else is wonderful.
