Regi and Jill Brack, the husband/wife team behind Glow Gluten Free Cookies (www.glowglutenfree.com) have announced that their four flavors of gluten free, wheat free and casein free cookies will now be distributed by United Natural Foods, Inc. the leading independent national distributor of natural, organic and specialty foods in the United States.

When I went on my Quest for the Perfect Gluten Free Cookie a couple of months ago, I named Glow Gluten Free Cookies among the best I could find. Their Snickerdoodle is definitely one of my favorite Gluten Free cookies on the market. You can serve these to your non-GF family and friends and they will love them, although you may want to keep them to yourself. They’re that good!

“Launched in 2008, Glow Gluten Free currently offers four cookie flavors: Chocolate Chip, Gingersnap, Double Chocolate and Snickerdoodle. With their superior quality and great taste, these delicious cookies have been gaining momentum in the gluten free market and have been standouts, with strong sales in select Whole Foods Markets and Independent Retailers. They have also been singled out in Real Simple and New York Magazine as well as highlighted products on Martha Stewart Sirius Radio and popular daytime talk and lifestyle shows.”

“Glow Gluten Free products are 100% gluten, wheat and casein free and 100% delicious.  Baked with wholesome and natural ingredients including garbanzo and fava bean flour these tasty treats have an added boost of healthy protein and fiber.”

Glow Gluten Free cookies are currently available at limited retail locations and on the web at www.glowglutenfree.com, but thanks to their new distribution deal, look for them at a store near year you soon.

I’d like to know how they overcome the metallic aftertaste left behind by bean flours. I’ve tried all sorts of things without any luck. That hint is always there. I would not be willing to buy cookies made with bean flours without free samples first. GF foods just cost so much money and bean flours are so often distasteful.
