USA Pro Cycling Team Goes Gluten Free
I’ve long been a fan of The Gluten Free Bistro. Their pizza crust and pasta, available for home purchase is absolutely delicious and unique, but their healthful ingredients make their products a must try! More restaurants each week sign on to use The Gluten Free Bistro crust and pasta as well. This news from Natural Products Marketplace caught my attention. The number pro athletes making news by going gluten free is growing by leaps and bounds. This pro cycling team is “shifting gears” to try a gluten free diet while training . . .
BOULDER, Colo.—The USA Pro Cycling Challenge , taking place Aug. 22 to 28, 2011, will include 128 of the world’s best riders in the most challenging U.S. race, with elevations more than 2-miles high throughout the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The Garmin-Cervélo Pro Cycling Team is one of 16 international teams competing and part of their diet will include products supplied by The Gluten Free Bistro.
According to Barbara Grealish, a chef for Team Garmin-Cervélo with husband Chris, “When I found The Gluten Free Bistro’s delicious gluten-free products I knew they would be a hit. Not only does the gluten-free pizza crust and fresh-style pasta taste like the real thing, but the products are 100-percent whole-grain.” The team’s menu for the race will include gluten-free dishes made with The Gluten Free Bistro’s products like: fettuccine with pesto, grilled pizza and waffles made with the Bistro Blend all-purpose whole-grain flour.
