Crowd-Pleasing Chili Recipe Image

Crowd-Pleasing Chili

By: Trish Strat

I make this recipe every year for our neighborhood Super Bowl party. I make it the day before: 3 batches, in 3 pots. Then on party day, I put it in the crock pot to heat & serve. The neighbors love it!

  • 2 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 3 8-oz cans tomato sauce
  • 3 TBSP chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 3 15-oz cans dark red kidney beans, drained
Directions
  1. Saute onions in a large, deep pot.
  2. Add ground beef, brown and drain.
  3. Over low heat, stir in crushed garlic.
  4. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir well.

Be careful with your selection of chili powders! I have found not all are GF. I found the brand Carroll Shelby's chili kit is GF.
