Fudgie No Bakes

This is a family favorite. The oats in this recipe are not as "cooked" as with original recipe. The timing may vary for your climate.

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1/2 Cup butter (Land O Lakes unsalted)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2-4 T Cocoa (Hershey's)
  • 1 Cup Peanut butter GF(smooth or crunchy)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla (I use McCormick or Costco)
  • 3 Cups oats or more ( GF Bob's Redmill)
Directions
  1. Add first 5 ingredients- (sugar, butter, salt, cocoa, milk) in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil- 1-3 min should be a gentle roll. Be careful not to burn the butter and milk.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add oats, PB and vanilla.
  5. Spoon out on wax paper.
  6. Allow to set and cool.

    I remember these from my childhood!! Never thought I'd eat them again! Can't wait to try this recipe!
