Country Gravy

This is a hearty breakfast. I like to add lighter fare to it like fresh fruit.

Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 5 Tbl unsalted butter
- 4 Tbl corn starch
- 2 Cups Milk
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- Stir in gluten free cooked bacon, ham, breakfast 1/2 - 1 lb sausage(I used ground pork,sage & other spices)
Directions
- Melt butter over low heat in a sauce pan.
- Add cornstarch and whisk together until it changes color- (light caramel)add salt and pepper.
- Add 1/2 the milk and increase heat to medium. Whisk often add in more milk until consistency is gravy. Add more milk if needed a little at a time. You should see the marks left from the whisk as you stir when it is done.
- Serve over GF toast or my fave GF Bisquick biscuits.
