Jalapeno Popper Spread (gluten free)

Tastes just like the deep fried breaded poppers you can get a big name restaurants. But healthier and GLUTEN FREE

Servings: 16 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 4 ounces can chopped jalapenos (or you can use fresh)
  • 4 ounces can chopped green chiles
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan cheese (or cheddar)
Directions
  1. Mix first three ingredients and 1/4 cup of the shredded parmesan (or cheddar) in a oven safe (or microwave safe) top with remaining cheese - optional: sprinkle some gluten free breadcrumbs on top, too.
  2. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes or until cheese browns - OR microwave for 5-10 minutes
  3. Serve with Gluten Free chips or crackers

    I've made a similar recipe recently it was a big hit! I cooked some bacon and added it in there. Really tasty!

    We've been making this recipe for a few months now and it is wonderful! We haven't tried baking it yet, that wasn't listed in the recipe I found. We roast jalapenos to give it a more fresh taste and it is delicious! We also use cheddar cheese instead of Parmesan. That makes it taste more like Jalapeno Poppers.

    Hopefully you would only eat a couple of spoonfuls on a couple of chips while sharing with others. Not too many calories.

    I've never eaten a jalapeno popper...but this sounds soooo good and it looks so easy.
