Rudi’s New Gluten Free Tortillas

Gluten Free life just got easier thanks to Rudi’s Gluten Free. As if their great breads, pizza crust and buns weren’t enough, they’ve now added some fabulous tortillas to their gluten free line-up.

The three delicious flavors of soft, yet sturdy, tortillas began showing up on store shelves last month. I searched my whole area at the beginning of May to no avail, so I was pretty excited when Rudi’s sent them for me to try out. Just yesterday I saw a tag in my local Safeway’s freezer for them that said, “Coming Soon.” Yes!

Not a fan of the larger brown rice tortillas, our go-to solution has historically been corn tortillas. They are tasty and basically get the job done if you just want a taco that you can eat quickly before it falls apart.

The new Rudi’s tortillas are large and pliable enough for a burrito or even a sandwich wrap, and all three flavors taste great. Here are the details of each one, beginning with my favorite first.

Fiesta Tortillas

These large tortillas are made with red bell pepper, jalapeno, onion and garlic flavors. Each tortilla is packed with whole grains and 5 grams of fiber per serving.

Ingredients: Whole Grain Flours (Sorghum, Brown Rice, Corn, Amaranth, Quinoa, Millet, Teff), Corn Starch, Tapioca Flour, Rice Flour, Water, Canola Oil*, Xantham Gum, Evaporated Cane Juice, Cultured Dextrose and Maltodextrin, Salt, Baking Powder (Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Corn Starch), Guar Gum, Malic Acid, Red Bell Pepper Powder, Jalapeno Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Carrot Granules, Parsley Flakes, Apple Cider Vinegar, Active Dry Yeast

Plain Tortillas

These soft and pliable plain tortillas are made with simple and wholesome ingredients, including whole grains and 5 grams of fiber per serving, and ready to be rolled into a delicious burrito or tasty sandwich wrap.

Ingredients: Whole Grain Flours (Sorghum, Brown Rice, Corn, Amaranth, Quinoa, Millet, Teff), Corn Starch, Tapioca Flour, Rice Flour, Water, Canola Oil*, Xanthan Gum, Evaporated Cane Juice, Cultured Dextrose and Maltodextrin, Salt, Guar Gum, Baking Powder (Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Corn Starch), Malic Acid, Active Dry Yeast, Apple Cider Vinegar

Spinach Tortillas

These delicious tortillas are made with savory spinach, whole grains, and 5 grams of fiber per serving. Their soft and pliable texture makes them the perfect wrap for any occasion.

Ingredients: Whole Grain Flours (Sorghum, Brown Rice, Corn, Amaranth, Quinoa, Millet, Teff), Corn Starch, Tapioca Flour, Rice Flour, Water, Canola Oil*, Xanthan Gum, Spinach Powder, Evaporated Cane Juice, Cultured Dextrose and Maltodextrin, Salt, Baking Powder (Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Corn Starch), Guar Gum, Dried Cilantro Leaves, Malic Acid, Garlic Powder, Apple Cider Vinegar, Active Dry Yeast

Who sells these near Wakefield, MA?

I have been looking for gf tortillas for a long time. I use rather small gf corn tortillas for my husband’s burritos. I have to make them flat in a cassserole as the corn tortillas crack open if I try to roll them.

We would be very excited to be able to find and use your new tortilla products.

Are gluten free pita pockets next?

I’m glad you posted the ingredients. I would love to try these but i can not due to the Active dry yeast that’s in it. :-(

  5. When cooking the mixture, follow the time guideline exactly as stated to ensure that
your products set up properly. Amaryllis starts with seven ripe bananas mashed into a
bowl. they are readily available and you can get them all year.
