I’m so excited that I recently discovered these Bolthouse Farms Yogurt Salad Dressings in my grocer’s produce section. I just had to share it! I’m not a huge yogurt fan, but I am a huge creamy dressing fan. Like lots of you though, I’m attempting to cut down on the fat and calories found in traditional creamy dressings, dips and sauces.
My temptation to drown my salad in creamy dressings is no longer a diet challenge since finding this delicious and healthy option. These salad dressings are free from the high fructose corn syrup, sugar and mayonnaise that add hundreds of empty calories to each serving of traditional salad dressings.
I bought all 4 flavors that my store had on the shelf, and in checking the Bolthouse Farms website, I see there are several more out there that I need to hunt down and try. They are all clearly marked gluten free on the back label. I love all the ones I bought, so much in fact, that I have a difficult time deciding which one to use on any given salad.
The yogurt base and the fact that these are low fat as well as low calorie is extremely surprising with the overwhelming flavor of these great dressings. These are outrageously delicious and creamy with just a fraction of the fat and calories of the leading brands! They taste neither like a diet dressing nor a yogurt based dressing. What an exciting find! I actually threw away most of the dressings I had after I tasted these and saw the calorie count and how low fat these are!
Here are the ones I tried:
Classic Ranch
The Classic Ranch dressing has a nice blend of herbs, spices, garlic, and sweet onion. This is just as flavorful as any Ranch dressing I had in my fridge, but with less than 75% calories and 85% fat (than leading brand). Besides being great on salads, this would be a great on a baked potato or as a dip. Gluten Free, No Preservatives (so check the expiration date), No Artificial Flavors and No MSG, only 45 calories and 3g fat.
Caesar Parmigiano
The Caesar Parmigiano dressing features a delicate blend Parmesan and Asiago along with onion, garlic, and spices, it delivers gourmet flavor you expect from a restaurant but can now happily serve at home. Perfect for salads, pasta, sandwiches, vegetables and more. Gluten Free, No Preservatives (so check the expiration date), No Artificial Flavors and No MSG, only 45 calories and 2.5g fat. 75% Fewer Calories and 85% Lower Fat than the leading brand.
Thousand Island
I gave up my favorite Thousand Island years ago. Bolthouse Farms means I can bring Thousand Island dressing back into my home without guilt! It features an abundant amount of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and special spices for a little extra kick. Now with less than 70% calories and 85% less fat (than leading brand) there are many guilt free uses, including salads, hamburgers, sandwiches, chips, and more. Gluten Free, No Preservatives (so check the expiration date), No Artificial Flavors and No MSG, only 40 calories and 2g fat.
Honey Mustard
The Honey Mustard dressing is a combination of “premium Dijon Mustard with Coarse Ground Mustard and blend with delectable Clover Honey to create a robust gourmet flavor.” This is a great dip or salad dressing with 65% fewer calories and 85% less fat than the leading brand. Ideal for salads, sandwiches, burgers, sauces, dipping, and more. Gluten Free, No Preservatives (so check the expiration date), No Artificial Flavors and No MSG, only 45 calories and 1.5g fat
The flavors I didn’t try, but will be looking for, are Salsa Ranch, Zesty French, and Chunky Blue Cheese.
Use their store locator to find a store near you that carries these great dressings. I found mine at a major grocery chain store, Lucky – not a specialty store.

I have been told by the produce manager at Star Mkt in Marshfield, Ma that your company has stopped making the Bolthouse line of dressings. I was beside myself as I teach motivation classes for weight loss and promote your dressings constantly. I absolutely love them. Then I went to another market in town and the produce manager there said it was not true. I think that your company should notify the Store Manager of Star Mkt. whose name is Brian and let him know that his produce manager is a liar!!! I can’t do it as I have already lodged a number of complaints against him for other things. God if they do not want to carry it just say that and I will take my business elsewhere. I do not like liars, especially if I am doing business with one and giving him my hard earned dollars. Please be sure NOT TO MENTION where this came from. Kudos to Roche Brothers Market whose carries your entire line! thank you Rita P.
