I’ve worked my way through a couple of five pounds bags of Jules Gluten Free All Purpose Flour over the past couple of months and I’m honestly pretty thrilled to have found it. I used it for all my holiday baking, including my old family recipes and some of Jules recipes, and everything I tried turned out great!

The test of a great gluten free flour mix is trying it out with everything I used to make before our family began cooking gluten free. I have really “lived” with it, so my love of this flour is not a hasty recommendation. In fact, I have a pantry full of gluten free flours that may have just become obsolete.

Here are some of the recipes I’ve tried with Jules Flour:

  • Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Gravies, sauces & casseroles
  • Fried Chicken (The BEST frying flour ever!!)

With Jules recipes, I made them exactly as written and they all came out perfectly. With my recipes, although xanthan gum is included in the flour mix, if the recipe involved rising, I added a bit of extra yeast or xanthan gum, depending on the recipe. With these slight adjustments, and some with no adjustment, they all came out perfectly as well. My family was thrilled that some of the old recipes that I’ve been unable to duplicate since going gluten free are back and just as awesome as before!

    I LOVE Jules flour! My mom, sister & I had our annual Holiday Cookie baking day and made everything GF using Jules, and no one in the family knew the difference. We are never without it now!

    Would love to try the GF flour! I’ve been struggling with baking and if it’s even worth baking (some stuff just gets thrown away due to poor taste). Some of the GF flours are terrible. I’ve found one that is pretty good but this sounds awesome as well.

    This flour firms gluten-free baked goods up beautifully; however, sometimes too much. After several attempts at making chocolate chip cookies both with Jules’ recipe and that on the bag, trying to achieve a chewier cookie, I finally decided to experiment with combining this revolutionary flour with some of my other gluten-free flours to get a certain softness, with the firm cohesiveness that Jules’ flour offers. Works great!
