Poll: How long before you first began to see results after going Gluten Free?

I was feeling better within 24 hours. It was like a fog lifted from my brain.
In fact, the moment started eating gluten-free, reactions to gluten never came back, unless the few times I ate gluten accidently.
It was a matter of days for me. The bloat went away in about 3-4 days. Then I took some Tums w/o realizing they had wheat in them and the bloat was back immediately. Now I only have issues when I’ve been unexpectedly “glutened.”
I started within 4 days to feel better but after 6 months I feel like a new person. My energy is back like when I was 22 (a long time ago) and I’m happy again. I got so depressed from feeling awful for so long that I was a different person inside. After a year of being devoted to Gluten Free I feel amazing with energy and a smile on my face everyday. I do miss a few foods but I would not go back just for a slice of pizza for anything!
It truly is amazing how much better I feel on the gf diet! At the time of diagnosis, I was having more bad days than good days (gi-wise). It was getting to the point where I was hesitant to leave the house and not getting a lot done on bad days because I felt so wiped out. Other than two incidents of unknowingly cross-contaminating myself (believe me, I knew it within a couple hours!) I have not had ANY gi issues since going gluten free. Hallelujah!
I am Celiac and noticed a huge difference in 6 months. I feel so much better after healing with a gluten free diet. My skin is a healthy color now as well as my hair looks amazing. My brain is not foggy and I am not cranky…lol! I dont have that toxic feeling all the time! I don’t miss gluten foods at all because who misses what makes then feel so bad. If you feel the change will be hard you are wrong.
The greatest help was my iPhone app “Is That Gluten Free”. It took all the guess work out of my new life. There are hidden gluten too! Gluten is in shampoo, laundry soap, lip balm. You have to read all lables! After about two months you just know what to buy! Don’t worry you will get used to it!!!

I am on day 3 of no-gluten-diet and i feel amazing. I felt today like i had more energy than i knew what to do with. I rearranged my office which is now for the first time tidy, I could concerntrate for more than 5 minutes on my work (which was always difficult before.
My diet before starting was 4 peices of brwon bread and 100g pasta over the course of the day, little fruit and veg, lots of chicken and fish. Now it is over 50% raw veggies, some rice, some fruit, some potatoes, some chicken and fish, nuts. No gluten whatsoever. I feel like i have finally found the secret to the kind of energy i was always after!
