Disneyland: The Happiest Gluten Free Place on Earth

My gluten free son ventured to Disneyland last week with friends and he had no trouble eating gluten free anywhere in the park! He felt that his most enjoyable gluten free meals were in Tomorrowland, but as you look the list over, you will see that there is no shortage of great options throughout the park and also at the Disney hotels and California Adventure. He mostly stayed with Hamburgers with Gluten Free Buns & Gluten Free Pizza (Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port was his favorite.) He also loved the Salmon at Blue Bayou and enjoyed lots of gluten free snacks. (The stores sell things like Minnie’s Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies – lots of choices)

I thought those of you who haven’t attempted to do Disneyland gluten free might like to see their Gluten Free List that they emailed. To get an up to date list, email Disney Guest Services (dlresort@disneyonline.com) a couple of weeks before you plan to be there, or stop in City Hall on Main Street when you arrive to pick up a printed list. This information is meant as a guide only – and hopefully as proof that you don’t have to skip the fun of Disney if you or your child is gluten free.

If you are planning to fly to get there, check out my list of Gluten Free Airport Options!

is this only at disneyland or does disney world have these menues also?

  2. Nancy says:

I’m not sure Disney World has the same exact restaurants, but they are just as Gluten Free Friendly. Call or email them for their gluten free list.

  3. Thank you so much for this report…I’ll be sure to share it on my end.

  4. Mimi Lwwhon says:

Do we know what gluten free breads they use? I am allergic to quinoa, dairy, corn and slightly to yeast

  5. Nancy says:

Mimi- I don’t, but Guest Services is extremely helpful.

This is so great to know the options! I always pack my own snacks/meals when I go since I didn’t realize there were more options than what I would see on the vendor carts.

Being season pass holders when we go back I now will be going by city hall for a list!!

  7. Angel says:

any idea what brand of pizza that disneyland uses. We loved it and have not been able to find one as good since. thanks for the info

  8. Lisa says:

Angel: I am pretty sure Disney uses Kinnikinnik (sp?) brand pizza dough for their gluten free crust.

  9. tom says:

Thanks for the gluten-free list of Disney Land. I;m a frequent WDW visitor, and know how to do it gluten-free. I’ll be visiting DL in August, so am happy to know about their options!

  10. Nancy says:

Hey Tom! Be sure to visit City Hall on Main Street when you get into the park for an up-to-the-minute gluten free list. Have fun! My GF son got back yesterday from there. So great to be able to eat safely while traveling!

  11. Gabrielle Su says:

First of all, thank you so much for putting this list online or I probably would have lost it today. Disneyland no longer gives out lists. They insist that all of their restaurants have gluten free options, but won’t tell you what they have so it’s kind of a crap shoot when you go to the restaurant. Some restaurants have Udi’s hamburger or hot dog buns or Udi’s rolls, but not all do. But you won’t know until you physically go to the restaurant. This list is a great place to start, though.

Just a couple updates. Gluten free pizza and pasta are available at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta in the Paradise Pier area. I don’t know what kind of pizza crust they use, but we didn’t like it. I think it was just that it was undercooked. Does anyone know if the customer service contact is a good way to give feedback? Thanks again!

  12. Hi, i think that i saw you visited my blog thus i came to “return the favor”.I’m
