Gluten Free Gift Ideas to Bless & Impress MOM
What do you get the mom who has everything for Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9th – or any special occasion that celebrates her, for that matter? If she’s gluten free, there is a wide array of gluten free goodies that you can gather, ship to her or make for her. Your Gluten Free thoughtfulness will surely impress and bless that awesome mom or wife on her special day.
Here are a few simple ideas to get you thinking about the many gluten free possibilities.
Make your own Foodie Gift Baskets
If you have a Whole Foods or gluten friendly store nearby, this one is pretty easy.
• You can pair some wonderful Mariposa Bakery GF Biscotti with a tin of herbal tea and a nice mug.
• How about some Udi’s Lemon Streusel Muffins, her favorite juices and a good novel.
• Relaxing herbal tea, a pair of slippers and some of Andrea’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cupcakes or Johnny’s Buckwheat & Brown Rice Oh My Chocolate Goodness Muffins (in our recipe database.)
• Food For Life English Muffins and an assortment of preserves and honey, with a mug and a tin of English Breakfast Tea.
• An assortment of Pamela’s Mixes with some new kitchen tools and an apron.
• Pamela’s Coffee Cake and a gift card for her favorite coffee shop.
• An assorted goodie basket of WOW, Glow Gluten Free, CRAVE, Nana’s cookies and brownies with her favorite coffee or tea
• The Babycakes cookbook (by Erin McKenna) with a basket of homemade goodies from one or two of the recipes. (Vegan, mostly GF, mostly sugar free)
Make your own Bath Gift Baskets
Gather up a bunch of bath products (confirm that they are GF and allergy friendly) and put them in a basket with a loofah, some slippers, a good novel and you’ve got a great gift!*
Click here for some links to companies that sell allergy safe bath and cosmetic products. Many are available at local stores in your area.
Avon, Arbonne, AfterGlow, Bare Minerals, Burt’s Bees, Neutrogena, SmashBox, NARS, Joelle
*I decided to add this comment after the initial publication of this article since this issue ALWAYS stirs debate, so here’s my position- If I’m buying a gift for someone who is living a gluten free lifestyle, it would be unkind for me to give them bath products containing gluten, whether or not they have a reaction to gluten-containing items that are externally applied.
