Also included are sections on reading labels, identifying hidden gluten, nutrition, insulin, weight loss/gain.

Part 2 includes planning, preparing to cook. How to make your kitchen gluten free, shopping, avoiding cross-contamination, flour alternatives, and recommended cookbooks.

Part 3 covers how to make menus and meals and includes about 50 or 60 basic recipes to get you started. A chapter on raising gluten free kids is included as expected, since the author is founder of the group ROCK – Raising Our Celiac Kids.

I really enjoyed this book as an informative resource. I have known people who were gluten intolerant, but until my grandmother was recently diagnosed I never researched it. Now I receipes, and questions for my doctor about my IBS.
